hi everyone,
2 questions:
is it possible to change the opencl-device for simulations? i have two cards and want to switch from primary GPU-device (geforce Ti 780) to secondary GPU-Device. (geforce Titan)
and is it possible to use the old HDF5-Compression for Alembic-Export?
thanks in advance!
btw. many many thanks to side effects for houdini-indie! it is just incredible what you get for only 199 dollar/year.

Yes- an environmental variable will choose it. Try setting it to 1

hconfig -H HOUDINI_OCL_DEVICENUMBER

HOUDINI_OCL_DEVICENUMBER
In the case of multiple OpenCL devices existing of the type specified by
HOUDINI_OCL_DEVICETYPE, this variable selects which of these devices to
use for OpenCL processing. For example, with a computer with more than
one GPU this allows selection of a GPU other than the default for OpenCL.

For Alembic Export use the node ROP Alembic Output and set the format to HDF5
