I am having this issue (image provided) where my lights barely show up or not at all in the viewport and do not know why, any thoughts? I am using Houdini 2015 Indie Edition with high detailed lighting on.
-maybe if you could try posting a hipfile. from that image, I also notice that your area light has Spot Light Enabled. Is it possible your light is aiming in the opposite direction?
