Composite frames into a grid

I have a short animation. I would like to automatically combines the frames into a single image, where the frames are arranged in a grid (or matrix).

For example, lets say I have 12 frames being rendered. I would then like to automatically create a single images that is 4 x 4 frames in size.

I am sure there is a way to do this in the compositing network. Maybe someone can give me some pointers.

Probably would need to create a kind of loop with transformation in VOP COP2.
In qLib (https://www.sidefx.com/index.php?option=com_forum&Itemid=172&page=viewtopic&p=192014) [sidefx.com] they have a node called “tile loader”. If it does not do what you are trying to do, it should at least give you a pretty good start.

Mosaic COP does that. Also, in case you'd like to make it own version similar task was exampled here:
