Hello,

Should I be able to add a scatter sop, then a paint sop after it and be able to paint on it? It doesn't seem to work.
(FYI tried to add attachment hip but attachments don't seem to be working)
Thanks,
Caesar

Hello dude.
Point color attribute won't show on viewport when you don't have any primitive but you can use spreadsheet whether point color attribute accept or not.

I think you have it backwards, but maybe I'm wrong as I've only been using Houdini for a few months.
I don't think you can use the PAINT sop on points. You have to use it on geometry.

http://archive.sidefx.com/docs/houdini15.5/nodes/sop/paint [archive.sidefx.com]

So, select your TUBE prim, then add a POINT SOP, then add a PAINT SOP, paint the area you want, then add a SCATTER SOP.

But I guess it would be helpful to know what you're wanting to do.

Do this..

Grid
|
Attribute Create (put density as the name)
|
Paint (Override color and type density)
|
scatter (tick on density attribute)
