Hello all. I am trying to drive some effects based on audio amplitude, I have never used audio in Houdini before and am having trouble getting the sound in.

I am creating a Chop Network, then I create a file operator and point it to my wav file. The operator is giving me an error: “Unable to read file”

I am using a wav file at 48000 Hz 32 bit stereo, I also tried at 41000 Hz and with a mp3 file with no luck.

can anyone give me some pointers on how to achieve this? I will attach Houdini and wav files as reference, as well as my settings used in Adobe Audition.

Thanks in Advanced.
David.

I'm unable to load the file here…
I can load a random wav file I found on the web…
I converted your file to mp3 and it loaded just fine…there must be something odd about that wav file
can you use the bug submit page and file a bug report?

I'll include the mp3 file

Thank you very much for your help Michael. The file now works on my computer. I will keep experimenting and will send a bug report shortly.

Best regards.
