I am trying to speed my workflow by assigning shorcuts to some of the nodes. I would like to use something similar to Nuke.

M = merge
T = transform
S = switch

What's the best way of setting this up? I could find the merge node on the hotkeys menu. I know it's possible to create buttons and then assign letter, is this the only way?
