Broken Alembic export on H16?

It seems to work for me. When I import the geometry again and unpack it, there's a vertex uv attribute with the expected values. How are you checking the abc file?

Could you post a HIP file and the ABC files? For me, the ABC file is 2686 bytes in H15.5 and 2702 bytes in H16.0. Does the H16 file attached import okay for you?

Either way, the bug seems to be a bug in commercial Houdini too, when using a File SOP set to Write Files, a Geometry ROP, or RMB > Save > Geometry and specifying an abc filename, so I'll file a bug with specific info on how to reproduce the problem. Full Alembic scene export seems to work correctly, but that's disabled in Apprentice, and sometimes, people do want to use Alembic as a geometry file format instead of a scene file format. (People have also requested similar support for FBX.)

Oh, it looks like this was probably fixed in Houdini 16.0.535 on March 1st. Sorry for not pinging this thread earlier!
