Houdini abc export to include material id attribute 3ds max can read.

Sorry in advance if this is the wrong forum for this question.

I have a rbd sim containing lots of objects that I export via alembic to read in 3ds max. My question is if there is any way to make 3ds max recognize the different objects within the alembic file as having different material id's to place textures per material id or randomize color.

Hopefully someone can help me
