Heya guys, I am a newbie and that's a quick question:

When I click “always on top” in Houdini mplay it simply doesn't stay on top. Whenever i click something else it will minimize.
I am using Houdini Indie 16.0.504.20 with Redshift.

What operating system are you on?

I can't seem to reproduce the issue. The MPlay window always stays on top of the main Houdini window for me.

Also, you may want to try turning on the Edit -> Preferences -> General User Interface -> Keep Floating Windows on Top preference to see if that helps however I thought that the MPlay window always had the Always On Top flag on despite whether the pref was set or not.

Got it. It's a Windows-specific bug.

I've committed a fix for this which will be available in tomorrow's Houdini 16.0.544 build.
