it is known that there is No manual with the houdini software package.

Where do the books on this website come from and what are all those disks and slides ?

That was the “old way” back when software was supplied in a hardcopy form.

Quite a lot of the documentation is now shipped with Houdini in electronic form when you go to the View -> Help menu. People download the software now, no need for CDs anymore.

Some of the demo files that used to ship with Houdini are now in the Helpcard Examples where an example file will load up from an operator's helpcard.
