Hi,

when i drop in my renderman shop i get an error like this,

DspyName: couldn't find requested drive r: ./d_houdini.so (./d_houdini.so: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory) (System Error: No such file or directory)

I am not sure where to acquire d_houdini.so.

Anyone know what i am missing?

I could be mistaken but I think you need to run proto install and install the RMAN Display driver.

In the shell that you ran houdini from, try typing prototools, or proto_tools or proto_install or protoinstall.

Sorry I can't remember the exact command and I'm not infront of a houdinified machine right now.

Hope this points you in the right direction.

i got it to work. Its called proto_install. pretty straightforward once i got that figured out. Thanks for your help.
