Hello all, I have some noob questions and need your answers.
I have a scene ( I named it Apknite) in which I am instancing a lot of trees and I am wondering if it is beneficial to pack my tree files that I am using for my instance node, or does the instancing itself basically do the same thing as packing?
Right now I have the .obj loaded in->material applied->saved out as .bgeo and then loaded back in and viewed as the .bgeo. Would it be beneficial to load in the .obj, apply the material, pack, and then save/load as a .bgeo? Or does that not really do anything?
Additionally, I could save the trees out as .abc or .fbx, would this ever make any difference for render times? And because I am using the .bgeo anyway, would it make any difference in this particular case?
I appreciate everyone's time and insight.
Thanks for reading!
