“Teach me kindly, please…”

All right, teach you kindly I will
1. PLEASE STOP POSTING TOPICS SIMILAR TO : “BIG TROUBLE” “PLEASE HELP” “WHAT THE F***” “HELP ME PLEEEEASE”. I know that the language barrier can be a problem quite often, but topics of that sort are likely to be skipped immediately by visitors.
2. LEARN THE VERY BASICS OF THE OS
3. If in doubt of the correct arguments to a Houdini program, in the DOS shell type:programname -h This will print some help text, and even some examples.
Cheers.
p.s. I hope that didn't sound rude, it certainly wasn't meant to…

Here is how to solve your problem, but please in the future just call your topic something relevant to the actually problem. otherwise the whole forum will be full of panic messages.

1. use cd to navigate to where you hdr file lives. so in this case

cd C:\Program Files\Side Effects Software\Houdini 8.1.704

2. then just enter the command you already found but using the filenames of the actual files

isixpack ml_probe.hdr ml_probe.rat

this will make a rat file in the same directory that you can use in houdini..

See no need to panic, its not such a big error

Actually slight mistake in my answer

I should have said

1. change to the c drive (or whatever drive you have the file on)

just type the drive letter C:

Then

cd \Program Files\Side Effects Software\Houdini 8.1.704

without the c: bit

sorry for the confusion…
