Attack of the Phantom Pointers

OK, I've installed nvidia's latest Detonator 4.0 drivers, and I've noticed a nice little speed increase in Houdini. I'm getting phantom pointers though, about 20 or so pixels beneath my actual pointer. The phantom pointer is usually an elongated arrow, but sometimes there will actually be 2 or three different icons following the real pointer around. Anyone ever seen this, and know how I can get rid of it other than switching back to old drivers?

I can post a pic if it explains things.

Hi Michael,
I get this too on my Quadro4 card. Looks like an Nvidia driver bug! Everything seems to work OK though. YOu might want to email Nvidia and let them know.

Cheers

Michael,

Have you tried turning off “Pointer Shadow” ? When Win2K first came out, most drivers didn't handle mouse shadow's properly when done using opengl.
