Exporting elements in 2D including masking?

Hi folks,

Image this:

I have some geometric shapes placed in a landscape and i have a camera moving around that landscape.

Is it possible to export each geometric shape seperately as a 2D image (from the camera's perspective), INCLUDING the masking (by the other shapes) that occurs as the camera moves around?

Then, i can import that into my compositing software of choice and i get my full scene back for further tweaking.

Obviously this isn't the way to go for downstream flexibility or a “natural” look, but i'm exploring Houdini for more arty-farty stuff, and this is something that would actually be very useful to me!

And if this isn't possible, is it at least possible to export elements (or layers) in 2D anyway, then i can probably achieve the same thing with some crafty masking.

If either method is possible, could anyone give me some pointers as to how to do it?

Thanks!
