If you use a Duplicate LOP set to Make Instances (which is the default? Or at least, is the intuitive setting you'd want turned on) the Drop LOP fails.

The failure isn't the issue (though working with instances would be ideal) but the silent nature of the fail.

Could the contained node that ignore instances not raise a Warning?
