I am trying to render out a shadow pass so I can composite my shot. The shadow AOV created by the background plate lop creates a really noisy image plane. Changing any setting in my karma node does nothing to help. I can set the samples to 3000 and it will not improve the shadow holdout aov. The normal render is at 25 samples as opposed to testing 3k samples to see if that would remove noise. I also tried increasing the sampling quality on the dome light. Didn't help. Also, if you look at the shadow image plane I get this weird "hole" that is circled in red. If I disable the primary visibility of the smoke it goes away, as shown in the last photo. What am I doing wrong?
