I am trying to get onto Orbolt to download the "Houdini 2 AE" asset. I have tried logging in with my SideFX account and get an error message "Open ID failed, disabled account". I have tried creating a new Orbolt account and I don't receive the confirmation email during the email registration process. I have tried contacting Orbolt support and I have gotten no response. Nothing in my spam folder... Is Orbolt still alive?

Hey Darryn, that sounds super frustrating. I haven’t heard much about Orbolt lately, so I’m not sure if it’s still fully operational. Have you tried reaching out to SideFX directly, maybe they can help with the login issues? Hopefully, you’ll get that confirmation email soon. Good luck!

Whoever is responsible for Orbolt really needs to get their act together. It could be a fantastic asset for all Houdini users. I really don't understand Sidefx leaving it in it's current state, which is as good an example of negative advertising as I've ever seen.

There are a lot of problems in orbolt, especially in terms of interaction with orbolt from houdini, and these problems are not being solved. Usually, if you write not directly to orbolt but through Side FX support, you can get a short answer from orbolt themselves, but this does not guarantee a solution to the problem. In the summer, there was a period when orbolt answered me quite quickly and at least helped with advice on how to get around some difficulties, but now this is not there either.
