should be a simple enough thing, but i cant figure out how to access the code tab in a digital asset..
is it to do with changing the type of a node to python? if so how can you do that?

The Code tab is available only for applicable HDAs, like script-based shaders, vops, and python-based HDAs.

To create a new Python HDA:
- file > new operator type…
- Python Type
- Network Type: > (choose whatever you need, eg Geometry for SOP HDA)
- accept


I'm not sure if you can change your node type to python. It depends on what type of a node it is. Eg, you can't convert network-based SOP HDA to python HDA.
