Subdivision at render time

Hi,

I'm trying to render FBX geometry with subd mesh at rendertime.

geometry “Render Polygons As Subdivision” flag is on.

This option only seem to work for geometry created within Houdini itself.

Is there a wat around in houdini to get this working?

I just did a test by exporting a low poly cylinder out of Blender as a FBX file with default export settings. I brought it into Houdini and turned on the SubD flag and it just seemed to work. Perhaps the source that generated your FBX left out some attribute that prevents the subd from working…?

Can you re-export your FBX file and try some of the other settings?
