Use VS Code whenever possible with PowerToys ontop mode. It would be really cool to have this integrated like this.

Yes. Are you realeasing it? What's the plan?

It is currently in the closed beta stage and will be released soon. Two versions are planned to be released, one is a free version that provides basic editor functions. The other is the paid version, which will provide some additional and more convenient functions. The paid version will be a long-term updated product. There is currently no clear roadmap. If there are enough users, new features may be added according to the user's wishes.
