How can I apply FX CHOPS to a curve but keep keyframes the same? Feb. 14, 2019, 12:51 p.m.

I've got an animation using keyframes, what I want to do is use motionFX to change the curve of the animation but keep the keyframes intact.

This is an example of what I've got, I'm applying noise to the curve which is what I want but the noise is also being applied to the keyframe. Is there a way to have the keyframe value override the noise at that location?

How to make an animation drive an FEM? Nov. 15, 2018, 12:31 p.m.

So I'm trying to recreate something written here: https://www.sidefx.com/community/method-aicp-reel/ [www.sidefx.com]
The part I'm making is:
Marshmallow Man - another of the experiments that worked really well. The outer shell was created using VDB volumes from the body geometry, then turned into tetrahedrons for the FEM sim. The innermost tetrahedrons were constrained to the dancer which was driving motion, but still kept the outside squishy and soft.
This is that specific part of the video: https://youtu.be/r2LpOUwca94?t=40 [youtu.be]

I've created most of it, using a VDB to make the human model “puffier” and similar to that marshmallow man and I've used a Solid Embed to convert it to tetrahedrons, but I'm stuck at making that animation constrain everything on the inside as well as having it actually simulate. I can't seem to find much information on this technique and I'm at a loss as to how I am meant to do this.

Can somebody help me out? Thanks.
