Unwanted Difference in Fur Groom On Animated Alembic Skin. April 30, 2019, 7:52 a.m.
I am building a very simple fur system with an obj groom guide object and a matching alembic skin to take the animation.
On the the obj the groom is smooth and regular but when I apply it to the alembic mesh there appears a patchiness and an irregularity in the groom that appears to be linked to the polygon edges on the model.
I have no other additional operators in the groom or the hairgen nodes.
I have tried different ways of exporting the alembic file from Maya, but the result remains the same.
Is there anything else I can try to make the fur on the alembic appear smooth like that on the obj?
Many thanks
