Failing at licensing. June 26, 2016, 5:44 a.m.

I have a Houdini Indie License, bought and installed at Houdini 15.

I thought well I will get the new Houdini 15.5! So I downloaded Houdini 15.5, installed it. Saw that it went into a new folder, so I then uninstalled Houdini 15.

So I then open Houdini 15.5, it wants me to go to License Manager. I go, it complains that the License Server needs to be updated, which I checked the ‘Commercial Licensing (License Server) Upgrade’ during the install of 15.5, so what happened there?

But I then put in my email and password for my licenses. No license pop up.

I puruse around and find the section in the FAQ about manually installing licenses, so I do that. It says all licenses successfully installed! I can see all of them in the file at /Library/Preferences/sesi/licenses but they don't appear in License Manager.

I open Houdini Indie and the icon bounces for a long while, then nothing. Just sits there frozen, never opens.

What happened? Can anyone help?

Assign meshes to Unity Layers? March 20, 2016, 5:17 p.m.

Is there any way to set Unity Layers on meshes in Houdini Engine?

Creating a collision and visible mesh from same curve March 20, 2016, 1:34 a.m.

I am trying to create a track generator in houndini engine for unity. I have the basics covered and it's all working.

But I cannot figure out how to set up my nodes so that I can generate a collision mesh and a visible mesh from the same curve.

I have three curves, one curve for the track, another curve for the visible track, then a simpler curve from the collision mesh.

I want to sweep the visible track curve and the collision mesh curve along the same track curve. So then it automatically generates matching visible and collision meshes. The problem though is inside of an obj node in houdini, it seems there is no way to get it to output two meshes to houdini engine. Is there someway to do that? Or could I somehow instance the same root track curve into two different obj nodes?
