stereo pair editing? Nov. 10, 2010, 9:39 p.m.

I've read about the real-time anaglyph stereo 3D capability in the main window, but is it possible to have two windows side by side displaying the two offset stereo views, and to work on your stuff while in this mode? I have a viewer that is made for viewing stereo pairs on a monitor, strapped on the head like goggles.

Thanks.

I have read that Houdini allows 3D stereo editing in the viewport. I don't want to use red/green anaglyph glasses.

Will Houdini support nVidia's 3D glasses kit and do I need a 120Hz LCD monitor? I have a graphics card that nVidia lists as compatible with their 3D glasses kit.

Thanks.

stereoscopic question Feb. 15, 2010, 10:29 a.m.

Houdini's description lists anaglyph and interlaced modes for stereoscopic editing.

1) Does this mean I can see stereoscopically as I actually work on an objects geometry in the main viewport, as opposed to just previewing stereoscopically in non-editing window?

2) I understand anaglyph means wearing red/green glasses, but what is the interlaced option about? Does this require polarized glasses and, as above, can I see in stereo interlaced mode while actually editing an object?

Thanks.
