I've read about the real-time anaglyph stereo 3D capability in the main window, but is it possible to have two windows side by side displaying the two offset stereo views, and to work on your stuff while in this mode? I have a viewer that is made for viewing stereo pairs on a monitor, strapped on the head like goggles.

Thanks.

yes, you should be able do this:
  1. split the viewport in half (with the right-most icon on the scene view toolbar: Two Views Side by Side (cmd+4)
  2. in the left view, choose perspective view (first menu in the top-right corner: Set View > Perspective View
  3. the right view should already be perspective
  4. put down a stereo camera, and in the Stereo tab select Left Sub-Cam and Right Sub-Cam checkboxes for “include in view menu”
  5. in left view look through the left sub-cam and in the right view look through the right sub-cam (ie, choose camera in the second top-right corner menu)
