Does an HDR .rat file, converted from vertical cross via isixpack, contain more data that appears when viewed in Mplay?

Attached is a comparison.. without knowing anything about .rat, it seems a lot of the vertical cross is missing.

I have made many .rat files and always wondered this, so it's time to ask

RATs contain cube maps with each face in a different plane. You can select which plane you're looking at using the menu just under the menu bar (which indicates “Right” in your screenshot). You can then pick Left, Top, Bottom, etc. to view the other faces.
