L-Systems SOP.

The Agorithmic Beauty of Plants is now available on-line as a PDF. Excellent read. There are chapters dedicated to growing plants with l-system rules.

There are some presets on the L-System SOP for you to get going. I believe there is a leaf growing example in there.

You can also use SOP techniques along with the L-Systems to do the growing.

They complement the ABofP book nicely.
