I made some bones from a curve…

It wouldn't let me make them IK bones cuz they were from a curve…

So I selected all the bones and made a persistent handle…

Now i want to use an expression on that handle…

alas, I see no parameter box in which to type the expression…

any ideas?

I'm a bit confused about your question. You want to add IK to those bones with a new end affector right? In the attached, I've just manually do it by adding a new end affector null and attaching an InverseKin CHOP to it.

ok, well that does work better… Whenever i made “bones from curve” it wouldn't let me selected anything but “no kinematics” or “follow curve”, so I thought you just couldn't do inverse kinematics, i guess…

I did like the motion from no kinematics, but whenever i made that linear handle, it was slightly affecting the rx ry and rz for each of the 10 bones in different propotions…

I just couldn't figure out a good way to control that.

Thanks for showing me how to add an IK goal, though. that's helpful.
