I am trying to use some points with color as point clouds to add some color to my surface so I am using pcopen SHOP to try sampling those colors but I am not getting it to work.

In the sample file I am trying to sample the color from a circle points and add to the diffuse color through a pcfilter inside shops but I don know what I am doing wrong.

In Peter Quint's video about point clouds it seems to work nicely.

Can anyone help me with that?

Thanks.

Hey,

Save your point cloud to disk as a .pc file and it'll work. Also when you test it out, make sure to adjust your radius (0.8) worked nicely for me.
The trick here is that the op: expression doesn't evaluate in the shader context, you need to explicitly point to a file in disk.

Cheers
