Hi there! I was trying out this tutorial on Ocean waves..

I got stuck at around 13:20 because after rendering, nothing pops up and when I try to render the mantra again, nothing happens. I tried clearing the rendering jobs but it isn't working. Does anyone know what's the problem here? I'm new to Houdini so ><. Thanks alot!

You can turn on verbose and diagnose what is happening.

Launch Houdini from command line/termnianl with “HoudiniFX” and in Mantra under Properties/Statistics set Verbose level to 1.

The terminal/command line will show a readout.

I had the same issues, couldn't load texture maps when trying a render.
I changed output file to .picnc in both the ocean preview and the ocean render and now it works.
