Is there a way to view a shader that was NOT created using VOPs within VOPs? I figure there probably isnt, but wanted to ask… :?:

You can right click on a shader and create a vop node out of it, then plop that done in a vop network and wire it's output into Cf to view it.
The trick is finding just the right hammer for every screw

That's obvious Simon, but is ther any way look deeper… into new vop node. Right now we can't find the way to do that.

Not 100% sure I follow you, do you mean see the code? Just right click on the shader and go to type properties, then click on the vex code tab.
If you are after getting Houdini to automatically create a VOP network that does the same thing as the code, then you are out of luck. You have to do that manually.

Yup, there's no utility to parse existing code and reverse-engineer a VOP network out of it. That would be quite a feat.

Yeah, I was thinking about creating vop network straight from the code Shame. That would be awesome
