Is relbbox possible in cvex volume procedural?

I'm trying to modify the cloud rig's cvex shader, so I can taper off the cloud on the boundaries. I want to make it easier to blend between BG cloud rigs, and FG hero clouds.

Could someone share some insight as to why relbbox doesn't work when rendered in Mantra, but does in the viewport? There must be some un-documented gotcah here, right? Or is this a bug?

This is using the Cloud Rig shelf tool, so the viewport is displaying an Attrib VOP, set to SHOP, and pointing to the cvex network in the shopnet.

I should add, even the bbox input on Volume Global Inputs doesn't work when rendered.

Okay, for anyone else that hits this, I found a work around, fitting P to the bbox_min/bbox_max. The important nodes are purple.

I still wonder if there is a bug, where relbbox should work as expected, but this work around is fine for now.
