Hi,

I'd like to visualise the waveform I've created in Chops in the form of a spline/curve. (Attached project)

The technique I've used is based on this tutorial (http://www.sidefx.com/index.php?option=com_content&task=view&id=1052&Itemid=132 [sidefx.com]) but it runs pretty slowly. I assume because I'm creating so many channels and stamping them back.

I presume there's probably far better ways to approach this, I need to just get the points to match up with the samples (eg. point 1/sample 1) but don't how to go about this. (Point Wrange/Look Up Table?)

Ideally I'd like to be able run quite a curve with a few thousand points in it.

Currently the wave in the Chop is running at 480 samples, ideally I'd like to go much higher as I'd like to visulise sound waves but I guess I can easily enough resample if it's hard to handle that much geometry.

Any help or pointers gratefully received.
Simon

May be this is what you want : ?
You dont need to set the method to animate (static work well in this case) and make sure to set the correct scope.

Yep, I think this is perfect!

So simple… or simple if you know how.

Many thanks and I'm sure I'll be back with more questions
