Hello all,

I'm trying to learn Houdini by going trough some Tutorials.
One that I'm working with is:
https://www.sidefx.com/index.php?option=com_content&task=view&id=2444&Itemid=383 [sidefx.com]

And I try to have a AI file as external spline.
Somehow where a internal path works fine; the AI file give some weird results meaning with an internal path all the jointparts are at the right place but with the AI file they got misplaced or removed.

I read many posts about problems with importing AI or EPS files and tried the different solutions but none of them helped me.

Another question would be;…… how would I go about and connect this setup loaded in C4D as a digital asset with C4D's own splines?

If someone has suggestions on where I could go wrong; I would be grateful.

Regards, Robert

Hope that's helpy. Jupp, I know it's a little bit dirty…
But from time to time the AI/EPS import is broken, but this solution should do the trick.

Forgotten, sorry:

Thanks a lot Matthias,

I'm away from my workstation now but will check it out in two weeks.

Kind regards, Robert
