How do I add my logo ( .jpg file) unto a waving flag created with a cloth simulation?

I am pretty new so specific instrustions would help.

The flag must have UVs so add a UV node at the end.

Add a material in the SHOP context, Mantra or Principled and then click the Use Map check box for the diffuse channel. Set the diffuse map to your flag jpg file. Drag and Drop the shader on to the flag geometry or assign via the panel.

Also try doing a search for “flag” you may find some working files to learn from.

I try to generate the uv's as far up to the top of the chain as I can. Definitely before any deformation or simulation happens.

A simple UV Texture SOP with an orthographic projection on the flat geometry in either XY, XZ, or YZ plane works very well. You have a choice between vertex and point uv's. Always choose vertex uv's.

I am always forking off UV Visualize SOPs off to the side of the SOP chain to see if the uv's are still good as I model/sculpt and deform the geometry.
There's at least one school like the old school!
