Hi All,

I am just looking for some clarification on what I can deliver to a client with my Houdini Indie license. I know I can deliver rendered footage. I also believe I can deliver exported geometry. But can I deliver the final .hiplc file to a client who does not have Houdini? Let's also say this client makes more then $100,000 per year. Does this mean that the client would need to own a full license to legally open up my .hiplc file?

I appreciate any insight on this.

Thanks

I am an individual working as a freelancer. Can I use Houdini Indie if I earn under $100,000 annually but I am contracted to do work for a large company that has revenues over $100,000?
If you produce final renders or baked out data for the large company then they are considered a client and you may use Houdini Indie. If you want to share scene files and assets then you are partners and will require a commercial license.

Thanks for the link.

So the answer is no, I can't give them the .hiplc file.
I can give the client all the assets that the .hiplc produces, however.
