To prevent copied line for hair getting in order

Hi, I am using the copy node for this characters hair and eyebrows. The hair is okay but the eyebrows looks a bit weird…
The eyebrow hair is in some kind of formation…
Does anyone know how to prevent it from doing that?

I know I can't use the scatter node for copy but is there another ways to scatter around the points so the hair grows from random points in the eyebrow area?

and this is the node set up by the way.
I made a separate mesh for the eyebrows and hair, and they are under the each hair part of the face.

Hi, you can get a better look by scattering some points , making sure to look up N on the surface geometry that your scattering onto. That way when you copy stamp your lines they will look up N and align to it.

Hello! Thank you very much for your reply!
Sorry what do you mean by N?
The eyebrows disappear if I use the scatter node…

N is the normal vector that is defined on each point of your polygon mesh. See attached , you could also brush those normals to point in different directions. What your doing is very old school

see attached

Thank you very much!!! It has got much better!!

So I had to add a facet node before the scatter to add normals!!
Then I can specify the number of points in the scatter node! How useful!!!

I am not very good at expressions yet. But I could understand that!

So could I ask how am I supposed to brush the hair? Or possibly even trim the hair?

Edit: By the way is this the Houdini hair/fur you were talking about in the “work in progress” section?

How am I supposed to brush the normals to point different directions?
Or could I even curve the lines to make them natural?
