Exporting Mesh as in Material

Hello,

stupid question im afraid…

I added a dirt material with displacement to a grid.
My geometry still is a grid with only mountain and fractal nodes on it.(like low poly geo)
The rendered images are now looking the way i want them to(with displacement set in Material), but to get any further in my project, i would need the actual geometry/mesh as it is in the rendered images WITH the displacement and noise to be exported as geo to use it in a fluid simulation.

So far, i could not find a way to do this.
Can anyone get me a hint, please ?

Thank you!

HI,
you could generate a displacement map first, by baking out the displacement high poly to low poly.
Now you can displace your geo with the map.

Moin, Sebastian,

have you tried the search function (top right here in the forum)? It pops up a nice response to almost the same question: https://www.sidefx.com/forum/topic/16579 [sidefx.com]

Hello,

first, thank you for the quick response!
I did search the web, but not this forum especially.
Sorry for that!
The problem behind this was mostly the fact, that i did not really know what i would have to look for at all..
