MPlay question

Hello,

The flipbook is not saving previous renders. In the same MPlay window (without closing it) if I render from different ROPs, the previous renders get overwritten; is this by design or is there a switch somewhere to keep all renders in MPlay irrespective which ROP it's coming from?

Thanks!

You can use the ‘Flipbook Session’ parameter when you are about to start a flipbook every single time. This will give you a different flipbook every single time you do this.

Check the box that says “Append Frames to Current Flipbook”, if you want the same ROP to not overwrite previous renders.

If you're rendering from a ROP, you can either
a) Click the “New Sequence” button in MPlay before rendering (which is good when you want selectively to save a sequence for comparison) or
b) add the “MPlay Render Mode” parameter to the Mantra ROP and set it to “New Sequence” (Edit Rendering Parameters, in Mantra > Metadata) which will cause it to render to a new sequence every time.

Using multiple sequences can chew up a lot of memory so make sure to use MPlay's Sequence List to remove unneeded old sequences (Windows > Sequence List, Alt+L).
