Apply subdivisions based on attribute?

Want to apply subdivisions only at a desired radius,for example foot interacting with the ground to create dust puffs. I'm using attribute transfer(color) at the moment, Any better ideas on this?

Try using your color after the attribute transfer to make a group. Then use that group name in the subdivide node.
Using Houdini Indie 20.0
Windows 11 64GB Ryzen 16 core.

I was trying to transfer subdivide attribute(iterations), and divide attribute(divs), was wondering if it is achievable wat I'm trying to do?
