Hello,
I have trouble using the lattice node inside Houdini and Houdini engine.
when i try to use it in “Points” mode it work fine, but when i try to use it Lattice tab is seems that a good part of the mesh is either ignored or frozen.
Maybe there is something i don't make right…
I've made a very simple network to show you what i have :
in these two screenshots i have the reference model that go through a Lattice, one modified by a simple box that roughtly fit the model and the other with the bound node.
The edit node is there in case i want to modify the deforming box, but in this example i haven't move a single point yet, but the model is modified even if the rest mesh is identical to the deforming mesh.
When i actualy tweak the deforming geometry it still do not work as planed.
can anybody tell me if i do something wrong ?
Problem using Lattice

Its very well explained here:
http://www.sidefx.com/docs/houdini/nodes/sop/lattice#points-deformer-arbitrary-control-geometry [www.sidefx.com]
I cant realy see anything in your screenshots here, its too small.
Maybe better attach the scene / hip file…

Hello,
Well your post helped me!
So thanks you !
I had already read this page several times before asking this question, but because you posted it I read it again.
And i noticed that this page advice to create the lattice setup by using the button in the deform tab, instead of creating the network node by node.
So i tried it, and it created the exact same network i made before, except that this one was working !
So i found out that i had a checkbox to check to make it work.
I need a lattice with only corner point to tweak the shape,so i thought it would be better to disable division instead of set it to 1 (it looks the same) but when i check the box the lattice work a lot better.
I don't know why it help, so if you have an explaination i would be glad to hear it
I tried to make a more readable screenshot this time

Hi,
if you set divisions to (1,1,1) it will work the way you want, but if you change the division input in the bound make sure to set it in the lattice the same (if it is different it won't work). Just check out what will happen if you set divisions to (2,2,2), there will be one more point between the corner points.
