Hi,
I'm watching Ari Danesh's tutorial here [www.sidefx.com] and at time 08:25 he puts down a particle SOP. Im running H17.5 and when I tab particle, the sop doesn't show up.

However, it does show up when I try it in H16.5. My guess is that I'm doing something wrong or maybe they moved/got rid of it in 17.5?

Any help would be much appreciated.

Particle systems, and all related nodes and contexts were removed in 17.5. They have been considered legacy and hidden for several versions now.

DOP based particles are the replacement, although they are not identical. Old tutorials using the old particle system tools will be difficult to follow verbatim. I recommend following a few newer particle tutorials that use the dop-based systems.

I thought it might be something like that.
