This is what I use in most cases, for what I think you want to do…
Setting the ‘up’ attr. for the default Normal slot might be optional I guess. But it does have its uses though, and is sometimes necessary, especially when using point orientation on nodes such a copy to point, as shown in my pic. see the difference when the original coneshaped tube is reversed vertically once copied to the points of the counter-clocwise created curve, for example.
