Hi, i simply want to give a suggestion to the team at SideFX.

I noticed the RBD configure SOP adds it's own path as a prefix to the name attribute when feeding it unpacked geo.
I'd like to stick with this node to pack and configure my geo.

Would it be possible for SideFX to expose parameters on this node to allow control over the name attribute? If you already manage your name attribute all the way up i don't see why i would add 30+ characters on the name just as i pack them.

I know, i could simply pack them before feeding into this node but i think it would be a nice addition, just like the RBD Material Fracture for example which has a string parameter exposed for the namespace.

Thank you and keep up the good work!

Have a great day!

It's certainly not meant to alter the name. I can't repro here, could you post a hipfile that shows the issue?

RBD Configure strips out so many variable and groups that I am unable to use the rbdconnectedfaces and rbddisconnectedfaces that are needed for glass. I place the RBD configure as low in the chain as possible because it simply destroys almost all attributes it touches.
