Hey,
I had some issues with the USD_ROP Node inside LOPs. There are a lot of those warnings: Insufficient permissions to write to destination directory
I had a problem with a greyed out “New Folder” button earlier today. I fixed it with a new Line in the houdini.env: HOUDINI_ACCESS_METHOD = 2
My output file destination is a quite new synology nas with a mounted network drive.
I already found this thread but it doesnt help . https://www.sidefx.com/forum/topic/70960/?page=1#post-306724 [www.sidefx.com]

This keeps coming up on the usd-interest google group (https://groups.google.com/u/1/g/usd-interest/c/Kf4nV2QdoLg/m/_n1fZI-1BQAJ). The solution that has been reported to work there is setting the permissions on the folders to “everyone”. If doing that works for you, then this is an OS/SMB level issue, not something that the USD library (or Houdini) can really so anything about… It's possible that some other SMB configuration would allow this problem to be resolved without setting permissions to “everyone”, but nobody on that thread has reported an alternative fix.
