Probably a basic question, but this has been bugging me for while now.

Is it possible to change the default projects folder somewhere ?

When I want to create a new project, it always opens at the “$HOME/HoudiniProjects” location which is located at “C:/Users/….”.

But I never store my projects there. So then I have to browse to my projects folder, but the projects file browser does not accept a path without a file input, which seems like a silly oversight to me.

So then the fastest way seems to type the path manually or copy paste it to the “Projects Path” input field so that I can finally create a new project.

Now if I could just change the default projects folder, it would be a bit less of a hassle. I searched the preferences and tried editing the shortcut but no luck so far.

Thanks,

R.

I'm not sure, but you might be able to change that in the Houdini.env file. That can be a bit hard to find, as it is in the hidden directory “Library” under your username on a Mac.
