Happened several times that Houdini overwrites the default current Desktop when it is crashing.
So when the Desktop is customized I'm suddenly stuck with a customized Desktop whenever I start Houdini, until I run a repair, or manually overwrite the Desktop in the install folder with one from a previous Houdini version.
Hardly seems like a feature, so I suspect this is a bug ?
Is there a way to disable Houdini overwriting the default Desktop on a crash ?
Thanks.

I did a quick try and didn't reproduce:
- Launch Houdini
- Remove one of the pane tabs from the default Build desktop
- Force crash by opening an Hscript Textport window and typing in the command "coredump -f"
- Launch Houdini again and the default Build desktop is unchanged.
If you want to reset your desktop to the factory default, the easiest way is go to Desktop menu > Desktops Manager. Then on the pull-down menu next to the desktop that is using $HOUDINI_USER_PREF_DIR, choose Delete. This removes the last saved desktop so that the factory shipped one is used again.
