Translate parm paths between Windows and Linux

Hi, I was wondering if there's a way to translate paths between Windows and Linux whenever a file node parm is evaluated?
Basically the exact equivalent of nuke.addFilenameFilter [learn.foundry.com] in Houdini.
It's possible to add a "scene opened" callback that crawls through every node in the scene and changes any parameters that are file paths, but that feels wrong in so many ways.
