I had a similar problem some months ago. In my case it turned out that my browser's adblocker extension broke the communication.
Turning it off for that URL got rid of the problems.

I had this same problem a couple of hours ago. My default browser was Vivaldi (Chromium based).
After the error shows up in my default browser, I just copy/pasted the url https://www.sidefx.com/login/launcher/ [www.sidefx.com] into Firefox instead and I was able to update the launcher and install a newer Houdini version.

Same problem

I can't even log in through the license administration window.

Using different browser does not help me.

I'm experiencing the same issue now; even though I get a confirmation window in Chrome, Launcher still think that I am not logged in.

I tried turning off the ad blocker for SideFx, it didn't have any effect as far as I can tell.

I had this problem on 3 different systems now. 1 Linux and 2 Windows.
What helped instantly in all cases was clicking the "Logout" link in the displayed browser window and then directly logging in there again.

Like I described here: https://www.sidefx.com/forum/topic/83318/#post-460494 [www.sidefx.com]

Same issue here! The launcher is stuck in a loop of Logging In -> Login Luckily, I'm still able to use the program else I'd be pulling my hair out.

Unfortunatly logging in with any browser will no longer work, until Houdini 22.0.
